Instructions for making payments Money to sponsor a child through the iCARE project will typically be processed from the sponsoring party, through their church to their church treasurer. Your treasurer will identify your contribution in the “Extra Commitment Opportunity (ECO)” line of the church’s monthly remittance form. The treasurer will identify the ECO as “iCARE” and will list the names of individuals or groups whose funding is included from each church. Checks should be made out to Shenandoah Presbytery with “iCARE” written in the memo section. This will insure we know that the funding for your sponsored child has arrived. If you choose, you may send
your funds directly to the Shenandoah Presbytery Office using the following
address: Attn: Beth Edwards – iCARE Beth Edwards will be looking for the sponsorship check, either from your church treasurer, or from you, during the month of October or during the first half of November. The amount will be $432 dollars, per sponsored child, and may include a gift of up to $50 additional per sponsored child. An “Extra Commitment Opportunity (ECO)” designation has been given the project by Louisville. The name of the ECO is "iCARE." The number is #051607. This ECO process has been used for years with other projects. It is a sound and workable process with many checks and balances. Sponsors can be assured that the money is going to the child they are sponsoring.
