Volunteer or Mission Opportunity
Presbyterian Homes and Family Services provides residential services for adults with intellectual disabilities and for children and teenagers in need. The organization fills a gap where governmental organizations or other nonprofit are unable to help. If you are looking for a different place to volunteer or serve in mission, contact Liz Spewak to talk about how you and your group can serve. Contact Liz: lspewak@phfs.org.

Website Design Class Set
The Communications Committee has set Saturday, March 13 as the date for the first website design class for 2010. Class instructor, Patrick Lanaghan, will begin the class with basic principles using Microsoft Front Page 2003 as the model. Registration begins at 8:30am and class begins at 9:00am. A light lunch is provided and the afternoon session will conclude around 2:00pm.

Time to Order Books
To order Books for church officers, committees and other groups, download the form online at www.shenpres.org/forms.html , complete it and return it WITH YOUR PAYMENT to the presbytery office no later than April 30th. These include Book of Order, Book of Confessions, Mission Yearbook and Children's Mission Yearbook, and Planning Calendars.
Register NOW for 2010 Baja Mission Trip
Registration is open for the 2010 Baja Mission Trip - July 25-31, 2010. This will be the 11th year teams from Shenandoah have gone to Baja to build houses for the Oaxacan native
people. Although the trip is organized and planned under the oversight of the Highland Augusta Mission Community, this trip is OPEN TO THE WHOLE PRESBYTERY.
    Plan now to get a group together from your church and sign up to go to Baja in July. Registration DEADLINE is April 1, 2010.

Professional Development Grants
The Professional Development Committee is now accepting applications for Grants for the 2010 year. The deadline is April 15, 2010. The application form is online under the Forms/Scholarships link on the home page of the website.
    Applications are also being accepted for the West Virginia Fund. The application and Guidelines are also available at the same link above. Application deadlines for this Grant is April 16, 2010.

Strong Ministers Program Grants
Applications are now being accepted for the Strong Ministers Program Grants. Download the application at www.shenpres.org/StrongMin.html.


It's Souper Bowl Time for 2010!
Although the big game is over, contributions continue to grow as churches and groups report the results of their campaigns. Check the latest amount out at www.souperbowl.org.
     It's a youth event for hunger and they want to change the world and make sure everyone gets enough to eat.

Camp & Conference Scholarships
Applications for Camp and Conference Scholarships for 2010 are now being accepted by the Funds Administration Committee. Download the form under the Scholarship/Grant link on the home page of the presbytery website. Application deadline is May 15, 2010.

Moffett Grant Applications Open
The Moffett Grant Fund Committee is now accepting applications for the 2011 year programs. The application deadline is October 1, 2010. Download the form from the presbytery website under the Scholarship/Grants link.
