The Nominating Committee is responsible for nominating persons to serve on a wide variety of committees within the Presbytery.  They also nominate commissioners and delegates to represent the Presbytery in other governing bodies within the greater church at the Synod and General Assembly levels.  This committee is charged with maintaining equal and fair representation with regard to Mission Communities, ministers and lay people, and laywomen and laymen.  These nominations are usually recommended for approval to Presbytery Council.  The Nominating Committee is also responsible for appointing persons to fill vacancies on the committees of Presbytery caused by resignation or death.
