Mission Statement
The Presbytery Resource
Center serves people of all ages, clergy and lay, who
are called to worship, nurture, and mission as the community
for Jesus Christ.
The Resource Center
serves to:
- empower
congregations and Mission Communities to worship
and serve God
- equip congregations
and Mission Communities to follow Christ
- engage congregations
and Mission Communities in conversation about the
work of the Holy Spirit in and through the one body of
Christ, the church.
- encourage the congregations
and Mission Communities of Shenandoah Presbytery,
as we strive together in gratitude to God, empowered
by the Holy Spirit...
to pray without
ceasing;
to
witness to all peoples to Christ as Lord and Savior;
to
unmask idolatries in church and culture;
to
hear the voices of peoples long silenced;
to
work with others for justice, freedom, and
peace;
to
serve Christ in our daily tasks;
and
to live holy and joyful lives;
even
as we watch for God's new heaven and new earth,
praying,
"Come Lord Jesus!"
To accomplish our mission the Resource Center will provide a
wide selection of resources (print, audio, visual, equipment, and
people), which will be circulated in order to nurture and strengthen
individuals, congregations and Mission Communities
in their journeys of faith.
